内容摘要：

Abstract: In this talk, we motivate a unified theory beyond the SU(5) Georgi-Glashow theory. Historically, this was proposed to unify three-genrational SM fermions where they transform differently. We found the minimal model should be an SU(8) group, and there can be emergent global symmetries from the fermion sector. We describe the global non-anomalous U(1) B-L symmetry in this setup, and obtain several constraints to the Higgs sector and the sterile neutrinos.

陈宁，2002-2006 中国科学技术大学近代物理系，本科。2006 - 2011 Stony Brook University, 博士。2011-2014 清华大学，博士后。2014-2017 中国科学技术大学近代物理系，特任副研究员。2017-2018 北京科技大学，讲师。2018 至今，南开大学，副教授。陈宁主要从事粒子物理理论和唯象学研究，包括超出标准模型的新物理研究、大统一理论研究等，目前发表高水平学术论文40余篇。
